There are about  50,000 Rohingyas  in U.A.E, they  are living in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman ,Umm Al Quin, Fujairah, Ras Al Khai!nah , Thev migrated to the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) due to various political unrest in their home country Arakan in Burma during 1942 massacre, 1949 BTF operation, 1962 Military Coup in Burma led by General Ne Win,  1978 king Dragon operation, 1992 Rohingya exodus problems, when thousands of Rohingyas from Arakan fled to Bangladesh and other countries in  search of safe shelter and safety.

Social Activities:-

The Late President of UAE Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan was very kind towards the sufferings of these people. He ordered the Ministry of Interior to see their problems through a Rolimgva Organization formed with some Rohingya elite in the name of Majlis-e-ReyaAa- Muslims -e- Arakan, Burma.  The process is still continue. If materialized they will enjoy the status of Palestinians in the UAE.

The Ruler of Sharjah also helped them to open two offices in the name of Relief office for Muslims of Burma and Arakan Rohingya Muslims Relief Office in the year 1992, when 300,000 of Rohingyas left to Bangladesh and the office were closed down after the end the mission, but continue helping them through Burma Committee,  Sharjah Charity International Sharjah, UAE.

The Ruler of Dubai also helped them to open "Markez Muslime - Arakan, in Dubai to impart religious education to the children of Rohingyas living UAE.

Educational status:

There education level is very low. A few eligible for higher studies. Many left school after Higher Secondary School (HSC),as their parent are not afford financially. Many children are sending to study religious education where teaching free of charge.

They are compelled to work for the survival of family. They work in manual labor, police force, tailoring, taxi driver, telecommunication staff, Water and electricity, food stuff trading and teaching staff and a few in the professional and technical levels. It is compulsory to get work permit and residence visa to work legally. But it is difficult to meet the requirements. So many people are lingering without visa and without work.

Their Future:-

Due to growing technological development and challenges in the expatriate work force, they left behind to meet the demand. So they will not survive in this country further. They are again planning to migrate to Pakistan, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.

It is urgent necessary to think a Broad base political strategy to solve the Rohingya problems in home and abroad.
