Buthidaung, Arakan:  The villagers of Buthidaung Township in Arakan State have to provide logs for brick-kiln to bake bricks for construction of army camps, said a villager of "Krin Tha Ma Palley Daung village" requesting not to be named.

The army Battalion No.564 gave an order on 20th January 2006 to the villagers of "Kring Tha Mar Palley Daung" village of Buthidaung Township to provide logs for construction of army camps, the villager further added.

There are about 420 houses in the said village Tract and each of the houses has to provide six pieces of logs which is in size of 12 ft in length and 4 inches in radius, said a trader of the village on condition of anonymity.

The logs must be sent to the battalion at the end of January, 2006. If anyone doesn't comply with the order, he will be fined at least Kyat 5, 000, he more added.

In Burma, SPDC authorities had already declared that there was no forced labor. But, even though there has been exerting international pressure for using forced labors and human rights violations, Burma takes no heed and is still  using force labors across the country.
