Teknaf, Bangladesh: The camp security police fired two rounds at refugees, while they were trying to snatch two arrested refugees from the police, who were detained outside their shed by police yesterday at about 21:30 hours, said a refugee leader from the camp.

Teknaf, Bangladesh: Continuing with its drive against infiltration, Bangladesh pushed back 40 Arakanese Rohingyas arrested from various places along the border. The push back to Burma was done by the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) on April 26, said a Teknaf source.

Buthidaung, Arakan State: A villager was killed by three brothers on April 5, in Buthidaung Township following a fight between his son and another boy while they were playing in a paddy field, said a close relative of the victim on condition of anonymity.

Maungdaw, Arakan State: A villager was arrested and money extorted by Burma’s border security force (Nasaka in Burmese) on April 22 on the allegation that he had renovated his house without permission from the authorities, said a close relative of the victim.
