The First Rohingya Consultation has been held on 2-3 August, 2007 in Bangkok under the auspices of the National Reconciliation Programme of the Union of Burma (NRP). It has been participated by Rohingya leaders and elites representing political parties and civil society’s organizations in 15 countries. The Consultation has formed the “Rohingya Nationl Forum” on the agreed principles of Democracy and Human Rights, Federalism, Peaceful Co-existence and Indivisible Arakan.

The First Rohingya Consultation was held in Bangkok on 2-3 August 2006, at Sigha Dum Conference Room, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. It was a long felt workshop of the Rohingya people, organized by Centre for Social Development, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, in cooperation with the National Reconciliation Program of the Union of Burma (NRP).
