UNHCR provides utensils to fire victims in Maungdaw PDF Print E-mail

Maungdaw, Arakan State: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has provided utensils to the victims of a fire at Kular Bill village under Maungdaw Township, on March 17, a village elder said. 
It provided items such as--- plates, pots, spoons, deep plates, frying pans and mosquito nets, to the villagers of Kular Bill village of Maungdaw Township.
 
Each family received 5 plates, 5 spoons, 2 deep plates, 2 pots, one frying pan and one piece of mosquito net.
 
The fire victims would be provided some other necessary items for rebuilding houses by UNHCR, in future. Probably, it will provide bamboo and stitched nipa leaves (Dani leaves) for the roof, a businessman from the locality said.
 
A huge fire broke out in Kular Bill village in Maungdaw Township on February 17, at about 11 pm gutting nine houses. From the government side, the fire victims did not get any support, said a trader from the locality.
