A Rakhine youth took away a motorbike from a Rohingya youth on July 23, while he was returning home after dropping a passenger at Warr cha village, Mohin from Maungdaw said.
The owner of motorbike was identified as--- Ibrahim (18), son of Saiful, hailed from Khonzabill under the Aley Than Kyaw village tract of Maungdaw township, he said more.
Ibrahim works as motorcycle taxi - transporting passengers from village to village by motorbike every day. On July 23, he went to Washa village taking a passenger and returned home after dropping the passenger, Nuru, a villager said.
However, on the way home, at around 11:00 am, he met a Rakhine youth on the way and the Rakhine youth asked him to send him to Du Chee Yar Tan ( Kila Dong) village, but Ibrahim refused, he more added.
After refusing the Rakhine youth, an argument was occurred between them. However, suddenly, the Rakhine youth forcibly took away and drove the motorbike after beating Ibrahim, according to an eyewitness named Zullu.
On July 26, Ibrahim got information that the Rakhine youth lives in Shitarpawrika (Kyaukpun Dhu) village of Maungdaw Township. Ibrahim accompanied by the village Admin officer Sayed Alam of Khonza Bill village went nearby Shitarpawrika army camp and logged a complaint against the said Rakhine youth on July 26, Zullu further said.
But, no information about the complain of Rakhine youth, till the report writing, said a local elder on condition of anonymity.
“Rakhine people want to create a problem between Muslims and Buddhists with the help of local authorities,” the local elder more said.
